I first learned about Kinsugi pottery a few years ago after looking for a gift for someone who moved home after a marriage had broken down. This person was finding themselves again, turning into something new and beautiful. It resonated on so many levels. Plus, I loved the concept of something beautiful coming from our challenges.
I really wanted to share this BPS article applying the same understanding about highlighting the cracks within us. The author shares their approach supporting someone suffering from PTSD using the kinsugi story along the way.
For me, once broken, it is changed, but can be beautiful, just not as it was before.
